Skin re-epithelialization

This project using CeldyFEM to model the skin re-epithelialization (see more details). As shown in the video, the blue cells are keratinocyte and the green cells are fibrin clot. The keratinocyte follows the migration guide cue to cover the wound bed. Publication of this study at Zhao, et al., J. Royal Soc. Interface, 2017.

Tissue reformation during wound healing

This project using CeldyFEM to model the tissue reformation during wound healing (see more details). As shown in the video, the red cells are fibroblast, the green cells are fibrin clot, the blue cells are keratincoyte, and grey cells are ECM. The fibroblast follows the migration guide cue to migrate into the clots to degrade the wound site and reconstruct the ECM for keratinocyte to migrate to cover the wound bed.
